Space Coast Cancer Foundation - Helping those with Cancer in need
Grace Vista is proud to serve as a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors for the Space Coast Cancer Foundation. The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was established in May 2006 by The Space Coast Cancer Center*. The mission of the Space Coast Cancer Foundation is to assist cancer patients and their caregivers in our community with financial and emotional demands that are associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The foundation provides direct financial assistance to help pay for transportation, pain medication, anti-nausea medication and utilities. In addition, the Foundation and Board of Directors supports local oncology education and research.
Foundation Annual Event- The Daffodil Gala, September 10th, 2011. "A wonderful evening for a great cause!"
The Foundation’s major annual event, The Daffodil Gala, was held on Saturday, September 10th, at the Holiday Inn-Viera. The proceeds from this year’s Gala will fund the purchase and operational costs for a patient transport van, which will ensure that patients in need will be able to travel to and from their appointments. Please note, the Foundation’s transport van will assist all patients in need in our community, not just those who are treated by the Space Coast Cancer Center.
This year’s Gala was fantastic! The Gala showcased an enjoyable evening with an Island theme, including live music, dancing, delectable cuisine, a silent auction, and the opportunity for community leaders and residents to socialize in a relaxed setting. For more information on the Gala, or for information on upcoming Foundation events, please contact Grace Vista at (321)223-2399, or the Foundation staff at 855-894-HOPE (4673) ext. 3500.
